Status QuoStatus Quo, is impossible. Unless, of course, you freeze time. Which is a problem, as you could never get unfrozen. Therefore status quo as a whole is impossible.   
Now, the start of this tale begins with the main character. Let's say his name, is Crono (no, not that one). He has the power to stop time. As I said, he could never get unfrozen. However he also has the power to rewind, and speed up, time.   
Does he know this? Of course not. Because, had he rewinded, he would be unborn, then born anew, without that knowledge. Fast forward? He would die, and then be reborn. Without that knowledge.

Literature of 1000 LeaguesThe waves lapped the shores of the sea very brutally, for a storm had come in to site, and preparations were made. Families evacuated with their items once seen in their houses, making it all seem so fake yet real; as if a veil had been put over the town to show true despair. It was empty. However, one family had no vehicle. They were forced to stay in their attic, waiting for the colossal waves to rip apart their home, their family's only place truly familiar with them. Suddenly, the storm had become full of rage, as if it were angered by the islanders leaving, their pollution leaving a giant mass of garbage on the shore. The Lands of NoirIn the land of Young Earth, the war against Blitzkrieg the bat-creature was raging on. But through the power of two crystals of black and white, the lands of noir are accessed. Their protector is the ever-strange Count Noirish, father of Sir Noirish, who is the main character of this tale. This land is not normal. Everything was flat. Sir Noirish wore a top hat, glasses with bent frames, downwards spiking hair, a black suit with a trapezoid body, perfectly circular head, and rectangular legs with cartoony shoes. His skin was pure white like a drawing in a notebook. He was a noble one, and one day he fell out of his world...
